Riverwalk (South Side)

Begin your stroll on the north side and head south along the Riverwalk during sunset. It’s a fantastic way to take in the city's beauty, and there are plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink along the way.

Mitchell Park

Sunset visits to Mitchell Park are truly magical. Venture deeper into the park near the pond, where you'll gain a bit of elevation for a breathtaking view of the city glowing on the horizon.

Kilbourn Park

A personal favorite, Kilbourn Park is one of the best spots for photography in Milwaukee. It offers an excellent view of the city and a vibrant atmosphere. Plus, there are many walking paths to explore nearby.

North Point/Bradford Beach

This short stretch near Bradford Beach is perfect for sunset viewing. Not only do you get a beautiful view of the sunset, but you can also enjoy the refreshing lake breeze.

Oak Leaf Trail

Often overlooked, Oak Leaf Trail is a gem for sunset seekers. Located near Franklin, this stretch of walking and biking path offers stunning lakeside views as the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the city. Highly recommended, especially near Franklin Elementary School, between Bay View Park and Sheridan Park, a bit further south than South Shore Park.

Middle of Lake Michigan

If you have access to a boat or kayak, consider venturing out onto Lake Michigan. The view of Milwaukee's coastline from the water at sunset is a unique and highly recommended experience.

Veterans Park

Located next to the Milwaukee Art Museum, Veterans Park provides ample space to explore and enjoy. It's a popular spot year-round, and you can choose how far you want to venture. Numerous areas offer a fantastic view of the sunset.
